DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING

  • Lindenwold Public Schools are dedicated to making a concerted effort in the area of educational equity. The start of the 2021-2022 school year saw the formation of the district’s first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee. This district-wide committee continued during the 2022-2023 school year with building-level committees being added at LMS and LHS during 2023-2024 school year. For a second year in a row students, teachers, and administrators from Lindenwold Public Schools are members of the Central Jersey Consortium for Excellence & Equity through Monmouth University. Last year our student participants took home the "Best Video" award for this consortium!

Feedback from all stakeholders, particularly our students, family, and community, will continue to shape the district’s work in this area. The district aims to create an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated. Since 2023, each building in the Lindenwold School District creates, monitors, and supports an equity goal. Our vision as the DEI committee enters its fourth year is to continue with our district-wide cultural celebrations, strengthen the educational resources used to teach about historically marginalized populations, and to increase equitable experiences for students and staff

Please contact our district’s Community and Inclusion Coordinator, Mrs. Amber Callow, at (856) 741-0320 ext. 1509 if you would like more information on the district’s work in this area.
